To operate the poles of HV disconnectors, either manually or electrically, we propose a complete range of mechanisms, suitable for our disconnectors, but also, with some minor adaptations, to switches of other manufacturers.
The CD and CM series operating mechanisms offer the multiple features necessary to operate the pole either locally or remotely (CD), in the best condition of safety for the operator and the grid. They are designed to ensure the highest reliability over years, with the use of corrosion-free materials, like aluminium, or stainless steel for the enclosure or external devices. The inner components are protected by the weatherproof cabinet (up to IP 55), and by anti-condensation resistors.
CD series power operating mechanisms
The present range of CD series mechanisms is the result of many years of continuous improvements in the field of reliability and easiness of use. The CD is available in variants including only one output shaft (for disconnector only), or two shafts (for disconnector and earthing switch) the shaft for ES being either manually or electrically operated. Integrating selected and tested components, it can operate within the standard IEC temperature range (-25/+ 40°C ), but also, upon request, down to -50°C and up to 50°C .
The mechanical endurance of our power mechanisms can raise up to 10 000 cycles, for very demanding applications.
The motor and auxiliary voltages can be chosen according to the available supply on the substation, AC or DC, from 110 V to 400 V.
